THE TRAGEDY THAT IS THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE

As the days progress and the sheer magnitude of the effects of the earthquake in Haiti is made even more clear, we at Digiwaxx offer our condolences to everyone directly effected by this tragedy (though we all are in a sense) and pray that Haiti is given the help and resources it needs to begin to heal from this.

With an estimated 80% of it's inhabitants living below the poverty line and economic and political strife constantly at its doorstep, Haiti has had much to overcome even before this earthquake struck.

May this horrific event serve as a wake up call to us all in regards to the millions of people on a global scale that struggle far beyond what we can sometimes comprehend.

• UNICEF: UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.
