Whats good Sic Osyrus? This has been a very busy as well as promising year for you, thanks for taking the time out to speak with us.

Thanks for the interest Digiwaxx, it's a good look for me.

Lets highlight the year a little, coming into 2009 up until this point you have been featured on over 80 mixtapes in the last year, how important is it to have a relationship with the mixtape djs and how has this helped you remain relevant in the streets?

I think it's one of the most important things to do, if you plan staying relevant in this game or growing in your movement. The balance is necessary to build an even fan base too, word spreads quick in the hood but at light speed online.


You have been recently featured on several of the top blogs and sites, what is it about Sic Osyrus and his music that make you so appealing online?

It has to be a combination of my music, my story, my ethic, and my management team.(IMG)

Lets talk about about 4 things going on as we speak, first, your in the NEW Source Magazine with TI on the cover as the 'Off The Radar' feature, how does it feel to be in such an influential hip hop publication and what has it done for your career thus far?

Well first and foremost, I have been reading the Source for a long time myself, so for me to actually be featured in it was a very good look! When my family can see the proof, it helps for the visual. Many of my influences have been featured there as well so overall its inspirational.

Secondly, you just released your 4th installment of your Sic O Nomics' Series (Vol 1, 2 and 2.5) hosted by Bedtyme357 and distributed by Coast 2 Coast, your tape is featured on over 800 sites and blogs and has acquired over 100k downloads, that's quite a feat for an unsigned artist, how does this volume differ and what will listeners experience?

This volume is different because I am in a different place in my life, the listeners can experience this with me by turning me up. I also didn't go in trying to do anything, we just did it.

Thirdly, you just shot Spit Yo Game for BET's 'The Deal', that's a 2nd National look in the 1st half of the year, how was that experience and what do you feel it will do for your current buzz?

It hasn't aired yet but when it does, my buzz will be most likely be in a much better place, big shout to E Beasely and Omar Williams for making that happen, word.

And last but certainly not least, for the 3rd year in a row you have been nominated for a UMA award, in 07 it was 'Best Male Rapper' in 08 it was 'Buzz Factor' and in 09 it's 'Outstanding Male Rapper', how does it feel to be recognized and why do you feel that your a stand out in the underground?

To be nominated the first yeah was crazy, the second year was cool, this year its cute, not to say I don't appreciate, but after not winning any of the awards its just that, cute. Plus we don't measure our success that way, we will use and take the promotion given to our advantage.

Your also about to shoot your new video for 'Make Moves' as well as 'Monsta' and 'Summertime' all off Sic O Nomic Vol 3, how important is the video to a new artist in todays internet driven industry?

Like I said, the visual is very important, when you can see the words that you're listening to, come out a person's mouth. It helps the listeners paint a picture and to relate to the artist. Plus the video blogs are the new mixtape, so you gotta go extra with it.

We hear your in studio with some heavyhitting producers as we speak putting some joints togethor for an EP and a Collabz mixtape, who are you currently working with and what can we expect to hear soon?

Sic Osyrus: Lots man, I'm working with Buckwild (Produced for Jay Z, Big L, Big Pun, Biiggie Smalls, 50 Cent, Nas), Jimi Kendrix (produced for 50 Cent, Jay Z, Ja Rule, AZ, Tupac, Styles P, Papoose), Vinny Idol (produced for D Block, AZ, Cormega) and Drawzilla (Producer for Remy Ma, CL Smooth, Freeway, Max B and more), just to name a few. We are working towards a new collab mixtape and my album 'Straight Money'

So whats next on Sic's agenda?

Shooting this video and making more moves then last year!
