Events: CES Press Preview

The 2010 Consumer Electronic Show is almost here and last week they came to New York to give us a taste with the annual CES Press Preview. Complete with open bar and hors d’hoeuvre, Digiwaxx was granted the opportunity to check out over 30 of this coming year’s exhibitors.

Why do we care?

The International CES is the world’s largest tradeshow for consumer technology. Come January, we can expect over 2,500 exhibitors and 110,000 attendees representing 140 countries worldwide packed into the space of several football fields that is the Las Vegas Convention Center. Major consumer trends this year will include 3-D tv, packaged media, netbooks, and apps. Get your kicks on, bring your booty to Vegas, and be in the know.

Among the debauchery taking place over this long weekend, Monster Cable will be celebrating their 30th anniversary. Last week, Monster’s Gary Yacoubian and Kevin Lee unveiled the headliner for their annual Monster Retailer Awards and Concert – John Legend. This event will take place January 8th, 2009 at the Paris Hotel.
