Chris Brown surprised fans Thursday with “Pills and Automobiles,” a midtempo track featuring Yo Gotti, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Kodak Black.
Though Rap-Up reports the song is expected to land on Brown’s long-awaited Heartbreak On a Full Moon double album, it isn’t included on the 40-song tracklist. The album, which will be Brown’s first since 2015’s Royalty, was expected to drop back in June; however, fans are still holding their breath for a release date.
Brown spoke about the album during a June interview with Complex, insisting there were no filler tracks on the album.
“I thought Heartbreak On a Full Moon was a depiction of what my soul wanted to say. It’s funny because we’re doing a double album. I’ve done so many records, but all of the records, to me, are personal favorites and I feel like it gets what I want to say across,” the 28-year-old explained. “It gives a vibe. You get nostalgia or you get a sense of individuality.”
