Simon Cowell to Launch DJ Talent Competition with Will Smith

Word on the net is that the talent competition mega mogul will team up with Will Smith and his Overbrook Production company to find the world’s greatest DJ. Obviously Simon is no fool and did get a chance to peep the success of the Smirnoff branded show Master of the Mix which aired on BET for two seasons. Further, Simon being the well-traveled man that he his must marvel at the respect, adulation and MONEY DJs are getting as they are becoming superstars themselves. No longer regulated the “DJ Booth” some obscure unseen section of the club, DJs are increasingly become the center of attention and the main draw for many partygoers. No doubt this will be BIG and the art/sport of DJing will continue to thrust into the forefront of pop culture.
